Committee on Design eNewsletter: Call for Submissions

Welcome to the new world of AIA Committee on Design (COD) communications. We are striving to make sure that everyone who expresses an interest in the COD Knowledge Community receives significant benefits as a result. Mike Mense, FAIA, of Anchorage (aka "eLcommuniCODo") has volunteered to head up this effort.

I have collected slides, commentary, and drawings from previous COD conferences and organized them into presentations. Individual members are credited for their contributions to each presentation and receive a CD of it. That will continue to be true. In addition, we now hope to include portions of these conference presentations in our quarterly eNewsletter and, eventually, to make the presentations available at the COD Web site. You can support this endeavor by sending your pictures, commentary, and drawings from our visit to Miami in any one of three convenient ways:

  1. E-mail them to eLcommuniCODo@mmense.com
  2. Make the data available to eLcommuniCODo@mmense.com at your favorite ftp site
  3. Mail a CD to the following address:
    eLcommuniCODo
    mmenseArchitects
    441 w 5th #401
    Anchorage AK 99501

We are trying to include a part of this presentation in our first newsletter in August 2007. It all takes time, so try to get your information to me before June 15, 2007. I look forward to your contributions.
