Local Government Network (LGN)

The Local Government Network (LGN) is a resource network for local components to enhance their government advocacy efforts. The LGN is a joint effort, in conjunction with Component Relations, which is currently developing a number of service networks for different priority areas of the membership.

The LGN will function as a community discussion portal for local component executives, component staff, membership from Government Affairs Committees, and AIA National to discuss local government relations issues as they arise, devise strategies, and share best practices. The network will also provide for both AIA National and local components to share and disseminate resources and materials necessary to advocate effectively on the local government level.

The program is designed to help foster communication between local components. Currently, there are approximately 45 components and around 70 members, with plans to increase this number as the program grows.
